I spent a week there in 2002.  By far my best memories were of the time I spent at Cafe del Mar.  It was an incredible oasis from the craziness of a long trip to Spain, as well as a place to recharge the batteries before going to the clubs - which are a whole different thing.

I would be on the deck with my parents with a glass of wine, or else at the cottage on Big Star Lake in the big leather couch by the windows facing the lake reading a novel.

But it’s the frame of mind, not what’s in the window frame that counts, really.

I havent heard of that island, however I have visited Skye and it truly is an amazing place to be. I love untouched, raw nature and Skye is full of that.

You should go when you get the chance. The people are lovely, Ive done the Boarders, westside of the highlands (all the way up to Loch Ness), Isle of Skye and Glasgow and Edinburgh. I can't wait to go back. There's so much to see, it really has a perfect mix of beautiful, cultural cities full of history and raw nature.
